About our Chino sunroom and patio company

A white sunroom addition with a peaked glass front extends from a two-story house overlooking a wooded valley at sunset.

How I got into building sunrooms

I spent years behind a desk in an office before I quit to work with my hands. I learned this trade on a local patio and sunroom crew, and in 2013 I started Solstice Chino Sunrooms & Patios here in Chino. Most people who call us want more usable room out back. In a city where a normal year brings about 99 days at 90°F or hotter, that room has to stay livable in August, not just look good in the spring.

I care most about the parts you stop seeing once the room is up. That's what it sits on, how the roof ties into your house and where the water goes when it rains. Those are the things that decide whether a room holds up for years or starts giving you trouble. A pretty room that leaks or sags isn't worth the glass in it.

What you can count on when you hire us

  • A straight answer on what your patio can carry

Before we try to sell you anything, I look at your slab, deck or patio cover and tell you plainly whether it can hold a room, and why or why not. Ask for an estimate and I'll come out, measure and write up what we'd build.

  • The person who measures your job answers your phone

You're talking to me from the first call through the estimate, so what you tell me about your house reaches the people who build it. My lead installer runs our own crew on site, and he works from my notes.

  • We deal with the city for you

The city's Building Division issues building permits in Chino, so we check with it about your address before work starts. We take care of the paperwork it asks for and keep you posted as it moves, so you're not stuck at a permit counter on your own.

  • Licensed and insured since 2013

We've built sunrooms and patio rooms out of Chino since 2013, and we're fully licensed and insured. The state contractors board requires a license to build onto a house when the job needs a permit, uses other workers or runs $1,000 or more in labor and materials, so it's fair to ask any builder about theirs.
